Managed and recommended as a dual-use item in the advanced strategic industry sector by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy
Securing opportunities such as promotion to overseas companies and export consultation meetings to accelerate entry into the global defense market

UDMTEK announced on the 6th that its 'Machine Code Processing-Based Integrated Digital Manufacturing Platform' was selected in the second half of last year as a 'recommended candidate for offset trade in the industrial cooperation sector' supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Offset trade is a form of trade in large-scale arms transactions between countries in which the purchasing country requires the selling country to fulfill certain obligations—such as technology transfer, local production, or investment—to secure its own economic benefits.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, with the expansion of offset trade target items from military supplies to general goods recommended by the Minister, manages and selects recommended candidates from dual-use items in advanced strategic industries such as aerospace, electrical/electronics, and AI, and provides opportunities such as promotion and export consultation meetings to overseas companies subject to offset trade.

Recommended candidates for offset trade are selected by evaluating ▲ technological excellence, ▲ suitability, ▲ company capability, ▲ export impact, and ▲ policy alignment. After deliberation by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s working committee, the final candidates are selected, registered, and managed, and then recommended to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).

UDMTEK’s 'Machine Code Processing-Based Integrated Digital Manufacturing Platform' can be applied not only to traditional civilian manufacturing industries but also to defense fields that use automation systems, such as predictive maintenance or detection of anomalies and root-cause analysis in automated systems. The company is currently discussing cooperation with relevant U.S. defense industry firms through meetings and is making every effort to secure certification and security systems.

UDMTEK stated, "We view machine code processing technology as essential to the intelligence of an industrial society where automation is becoming ubiquitous," adding, "Based on our cases in the existing manufacturing sector, we are promoting a cross-sector approach strategy targeting automation systems in various non-manufacturing industries, and this final selection as an offset trade recommended item will be a great opportunity to accelerate our entry into the global defense market."
