UDMTEK [389680] announced on the 2nd that it has signed an agreement with SK Chemicals to introduce a Generative AI-based JSA (Job Safety Analysis) Automation System.
Through this agreement, UDMTEK will deploy the Generative AI-based JSA solution jointly developed by SK Discovery and SK Chemicals into actual industrial sites. In cooperation with SK C&C, UDMTEK will also participate in the priority deployment of the JSA solution across manufacturing affiliates within the SK Group.
Subsequently, the company plans to integrate the JSA solution with SK C&C’s Digital SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) platform, expanding its application to major SK Group manufacturing sites. UDMTEK also aims to extend the system to other industries such as steel, semiconductors, heavy industry, automotive, secondary batteries, food, construction, and chemicals in the future.
JSA is an essential procedure to ensure worker safety and prevent accidents in industrial environments. However, traditional JSA preparation methods have relied heavily on manual work, leading to inconsistent standards and excessive time and cost requirements. In contrast, UDMTEK’s JSA Automation System leverages Generative AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies to automatically create JSAs optimized for specific processes and industries. This improves accuracy and enables instant adaptation to real-time changes in work environments.
To further enhance the system’s performance, UDMTEK plans to continuously improve its AI learning model, enabling more precise risk prediction.
The main features of the JSA Automation System include:
A UDMTEK representative stated, “By adopting the AI and ML-based JSA Automation System, JSA preparation time can be reduced by more than 50% compared to conventional methods, and real-time analysis can effectively protect worker safety.” The representative added, “This agreement is expected to be a significant turning point for expanding AI-based JSA solutions into a wide range of industries.”
